Dr Joseph Platt
Dr. Joseph Platt is an environmental biologist working with the protection of endangered species. His wildlife research has extended from the winters of the Yukon Territory to the summers of the Arabian Peninsula. For twenty years, he was the ecological advisor to the Rulers of Bahrain and Dubai in the Arabian Gulf. He also worked on projects in Kuwait, Iran, Oman, Pakistan and Eritrea, East Africa. His current focus is the environmental constraints associated with wind and solar farms in the U.S and the protection of the Virgin River in Utah. He received his B.S. in Wildlife from Utah State University, a M.S. in Zoology from Brigham Young University, and a Ph.D. in Ecology from Cornell University.
Joe and his wife live in St. George, UT where he teaches at Dixie State University
